I went in skeptical of Colin Trevorrow's involvement with the Jurassic Park franchise and came out satisfied knowing that the right director was given the opportunity to turn Jurassic World into a worldwide success. The box office statistics for Jurassic World practically speak on their own - it surpassed the success of the first Jurassic Park film by becoming the third highest-grossing film in the global box office history. Jurassic World delivers the thrills, wonder, non-stop action, drama, and the dinosaurs we all love to see. I am not lying when I say that I nearly cried at the end of the film; it was a long wait for Jurassic World and the wait fortunately paid off. Colin Trevorrow imagines Michael Crichton's ruminations on chaos theory and humanity's inability to possess control over nature by introducing the controversial scientific concept of a genetically engineered dinosaur as a means for Jurassic World to provide amusement to its visitors. The romantic chemistry between Claire and Owen presented one of the most effective character bonds I have seen in a film. I felt like crying when Michael Giacchino's piece "Nine to Survival Job" played at the end as the camera view moves toward the helipad where the T-rex makes her glorious stand. Jurassic World is beautiful!
