1998's Godzilla had everything it needed to be a good movie, but didn't use it. this film's depiction of Godzilla was interesting, but oddly cartoon-like and out of place for the character. the lore that the movie introduces also feels unneeded. It's as if some of the abilities Godzilla has were taken from some kind of generic Movie Monster Checklist, When Godzilla should be anything but that.
The Dialogue is painful, and it feels like this movie was written in the 60s. The characters have very little depth and are hard to get attached to.
