Welcome Kaiju Fans, this is Panda Cove and this is my very first movie review I've ever done and I'm excited for this. So lets review one of my favorite Kaiju movie and the very first Godzilla movie ever. The movie begins when the Japanese fishing boat all fine and calm, until a big flash from the ocean and attacks the boat. So lets get to the part of why the movie is called Godzilla.
The monster ( or Kaiju as I would like to call them) Is called Gojira. A Japanese name with using gorilla and whale, wonder if we can name a Kaiju after one of our favorites. It was great and fun to watch, I've seen the Japanese version back at school and watch the American version at home. The dark gritty tone sets a foreboding atmosphere. And, the monster is not simply a character, but a force of nature. He is unstoppable. The film is basically a social commentary about the dangers of nuclear warfare. The ending is till a very haunting one, raising the possibility of another monster appearing. Check it out for Godzilla's 60th birthday.
