i dunno much about Ultraman but the guy at 1:05 looks pretty cool
do you have any idea what you've done
Yeah, I think most of the the backlash season 4 got was due to the fact that it was so different from what most of the fanbase was expecting (a lot of people thought that season 4 was going to take place on Sorna).
The B.R.A.D.s themselves aren't too far fetched, especially when you compare them to the robots from Boston Dynamics. I think most of the hatred for them is due to how unexpected they were. Honestly, I thought the normal "robot dog" B.R.A.D.s were fine, the the more dinosauroid B.R.A.D.-Xs were the ones that felt a bit too ridiculous.
Thanks HinikunaGoji, the bottom was meant to be inspired by most of the promo material for King of the Monsters, similar to the City Destruction Godzilla from 2014.
I mostly see the Skullcrawler being made, considering how Playmates tend to reuse sculpts.
I guess the reason the BRADs struck people as strange is because JP has been so far "realistic"
While the tech to make a dinosaur is very far fetched, the world is still very familiar and not super far into the future, and even the paddocks of dinosa are like that of a zoo.

Those are cool! It would be awesome if they actually released
i guess its just more creepy without minatures. but I like how the recreated shots from the original show.
....
also whats with japans recent obsession with using old sound effects for their daikaiju movies?
also really hoping that we get a shin evangelion or
shin gamera.
It was actually exposure to 1933's King Kong, leading to me watching King Kong vs. Godzilla, and then I began watching Cinemassacre's Godzilla-thon, that's pretty much what did it.
I like the movie that made the JSDF unwilling to work with toho
HinikunaGoji,
Any new entry has a chance. I like Higuchi and Anno--It certainly has the potential to be something unlike anything that has come before. But topping The Next is a tall, tall order.
I think if season 5 is good, it can make up for some of missteps of season 4 (at least in my mind). I personally didn't completely hate the inclusion of the B.R.A.D.s or the second island, although they did feel a bit out of place for Jurassic World. Though I'd gladly take them over the dino-human hybrids, cyborg soldiers with elbow guns, giant mech suits and multi-headed kaiju dinos that were nearly introduced in the franchise.
Interestingly, Season 4 actually seems to have taken a lot of inspiration from the Jurassic Park Scan Command game, which also featured a group of lost campers discovering a secret base where a corrupt scientist was trying to control the dinosaurs.

They could and honestly i might even pretend season 4 didnt happen.
They are going back to nublar, so i can just say, there never was another island with scifi dogs and toying with my emotions for my favorite dino because I wanted it to be the villain, plus it was the coolest dinosaur ever to be discovered.
I didn't think season 4 was that bad, it was somewhat disappointing and the weakest season by far, but there were still things that I liked about it and I appreciated that they at least tried something different instead of just being a repeat of the previous season (even if it didn't really work that well). Hopefully season 5 can make up for some of those mistakes and give us a good finale.
Oh hell nah! You didn't just insult Michael Crichton's Jurassic Park! Without the book there wouldn't be a movie series.
Also the last season, cool?
I liked season 1 and 2, 3 was ok, i dont know what 4 even is..
I only made it two episodes in four. What happened after that,
I just wanted the spinosaurus!!!
Yeah i needed to have a *not sketchy link*
It has a chance though
I find the CG very distracting here. I'm looking forward to it nonetheless, but wish there were more practical effects at work here.
It has a very long way to go in order to beat out Ultraman: The Next, which was the last "mature", big event reboot of the franchise.
Why dont you like the book though?
Just insulting it without giving your reasoning isnt a reveiw.
But hes always done that. And superman does that too.
its just the way he....just.....stays still as he......flys at supersonic speeds.....ITS CREEPY!
it looks like an over-designed insect
If youve played the JP park creator games,
you know that JP loves spikes
I dont think its creepy
ultraman flying around is kinda ominous-creepy. not gonna lie.
Meganeura and Meganeuropsis are the most likely candidates. I brought up Megaguirus as a response to Kattozilla's comment of it looking like an old Godzilla creature.
my least favorite godzilla movie is Godzilla vs King Ghidorah and Shin Godzilla
that's a good movie just not a great movie in my opinion
I'm of the inclination that this is a genetically modified monster, one of Wu's side projects. It looks very alien, though.
generally I like all of the millenium era. (yes. even godzilla vs megaguirus)
godzilla, mothra and king ghidorah giant monsters all-out-attack!
....
and godzilla final wars.
giiiiaaaaaaaaaaagggaaaaiiiiiiiiinnnnnnnnn!!!11!!!!!1!!!!!!1! RISE!!!!!!11!11!!!!
I tend to flip-flop between Invasion of Astro-Monster and Terror of MechaGodzilla. GMK isn't far behind them though.
I forgot to mention Mortal Kombat X. An Alien and Predator are featured guest fighters.
I also have Alien Fate of the Nostromo board game
It does remind me of Megaguirus, which makes sense because she (and the rest of her species) were based on prehistoric insects from the Carboniferous like this one.
HinikunaGoji
Agree, it still fits the man vs nature theme of the godzilla films.
I am so saving that image.
