I think you NEED to find the Balance, but i will ASSUME that Once we get the Reveal of the Xenomorph it will NOT be long before we MOVE to more of a ALIENS ACTION and this is maybe where it will Remain.
Its early to say yet, but Ive heard its NOT set before ALIEN but we have to wait and see when we get more Information, i Certainly think having it SET on Earth is a Mistake even if its in the Year 2200+
Well, the thing is I just want something different from a talented team of creators. American and Japanese to be specific. And Paramount may be the next stage since WB, Sony, and Universal have all had their cracks at the genre. And none of them have exactly succeeded (with the MonsterVerse only being a partial success in my eyes).
TEAM GODZILLA ALL THE WAY
Ive enjoyed his pursuits outside Godzilla. Krampus and Trick r Treat are enjoyable for me.
He likes to do movies about dysfunctional families though. Which I think he was just retreading in KOTM
And Michael Bay did have a certain style, and he did want to make those movies. I just think he wanted to do it his own way and had a very poor grasp of the source material. And admittedly, at least two of his Transformers movies were good but like Godzilla I would like something that sticks to the source material. And while Bumblebee didn't exactly do that, it was still good as it had a team of filmmakers who were competent and imaginative. I think WB has been competent for the most part, but they haven't been imaginative.
Exactly, you need to have competent and imaginative filmmakers to make something work. Also they proved that their human characters can have depth and substance with Bumblebee, so it could be best to have Paramount carry out the next iteration of an American Godzilla.
This is good news indeed
I am so thankful for what you did.
HinikunaGoji,
I think the comparison he was making was closer in response to how Transformers was treated than the Monsterverse. Either way he's right, but competent, imaginative filmmakers wouldn't hurt either.
Honestly I think all the MV films have had teams that love the property, Why else would Dourghtey shove so many Easter eggs in?
Pitting MV against Marvel just didn’t seem like it kept with the themes of 14’
I think Michael Bay is mainly to blame for that issue, as Paramount let him do whatever he wanted and he turned Optimus Prime into a violence-craving maniac. They turned a better direction with Bumblebee and I'm excited to see the direction they take with Rise of The Beasts. They could certainly do Godzilla and Toho IP justice, but they'd need a team that cares about the source material and what made Godzilla and his universe endearing in the first place.
Also Paramount is a better fit anyways, since Universal already had their crack as they handled King Kong for 86 years and internationally distributed 1962's King Kong Vs. Godzilla.
To be honest, my first choice would have always been Warner Brothers. But the way they treat their talent and the strangling creative control they force on some of these projects make them very unattractive these days. And it's clear they've had little positive effect on the Godzilla films at present.
I'm not sure who I'd like to see handle it. No matter what Godzilla will be channeled as "action-blockbuster" material, which didn't fit in Final Wars and continues to clash now. It really comes down to the talent, but the way studios look at material matters too.
Maybe Paramount, if it came down to a big studio. But, then again, I'm not particularly fond of the way they treated Transformers.
Maybe Universal could put a spin on it...
I would say the issue with Hollywood working with foreign studios and filmmakers for potential blockbusters is that, usually, they usurp those filmmakers in question for their own benefit. (And they get away with it since they usually put up the majority of the money.) So a joint venture doesn't interest me. It seems like it would just be Hollywood spinning its wheels again.
I'm more interested in what Toho will do from this point forward, but if Hollywood were to make another attempt at Godzilla, I'd rather a totally different studio try their hand. We've seen what Legendary is all about by now and it's less than exhilarating.
This looks interesting,
wonder what this is implying
intresting prospect, unable to comment
Hi my real name's Dustin. My username is Action Dinos. My favorite movie in the series is the first Jurassic Park movie. I haven't seen the Jurassic World movies, I've only seen the original Jurassic Park movies and to be honest it's been a while since I last watched them. I'm planning to spend some time rewatching the old movies and after that I'll watch the new ones. I have to admit I'm obsessed with Jurassic Park / World lore right now, dinosaurs and prehistoric animals in general. I've likely watched so many lore videos about Jurassic Park and its universe that at this point that I probably already know most of what happened in Jurassic World 1 and 2. But I'm still going to watch them when I get around to it. I'm old school to the point that I want to get them on DVD to watch them, I've never been a big fan of streaming, I'll do it if I have too but if I can get the DVD I will. Anyway, my favorite Dinosaur is the Velociraptor. I also run a YouTube channel about toys and action figures where I've just begun to make videos about dinosaur toys, although most of my videos up until just recently have been about military toys. I like to imagine a Jurassic Park where the dinosaurs never escaped, and the park never fell apart. One where it functions in a similar way to a normal zoo, like what they managed to do with Jurassic World's dinosaur park before the Indominous Rex escaped. I also really enjoy the Jurassic World Evolution video games. I'm also a huge Transformers fan, Dinobot from TF Beast Wars is one of my favorite characters in the Transformers universe. That's about all I can think of to say about me at the moment.
Honestly I’m not going to comment on the chaos that happened.
I don’t want to see Toho work with MV Godzilla, he’s too distinctly (now i dont mean this in a negative way) changed.
I mean the Godzilla 14 and KSI have a more realistic “seriousness” that GvK and KOTM lack. They all have stakes, but GvK and KOTM have a serious tonal change, lending itself to just monster fun. That’s not a bad thing, but it doesn’t fit with Toho’s latest endeavors.
For example, GvK had a lot of jokes and was fairly lighthearted, Singular Point was draped in Hindu and Buddhist Philosophy.
Not that singular point didn’t have lighthearted moments it was just more serious to me.
Also I went in not knowing much about physics I’m not going to lie, but understood it.
Paleoentology was my thing.
I feel it’s a story that doesn’t cater to an American audience, given the fact that it’s success has been in Japan.
"You're welcome to join him."
I really, really thought you were better than this.

Now, can we get back on the topic we were discussing before that exchange took place?
sonictiger,
I didn't make anyone do anything. He left of his own accord. The only ignorance here displayed is the inability to let something go when someone makes a comment contrary to their own. You're welcome to join him.
And now you're making SasquaDash leave because of your ignorance.
SasquaDash,
"I honestly don't give a **** about what you think about the MonsterVerse (I've made that clear multiple times)"
Then act like it. It seems the only person insulted here was you--For some reason.
Well maybe I would... If you stop being an overly arrogant, controlling, elitist, narcissistic, condescending jerk that thinks the Godzilla franchise needs to only revolve around what he wants and constantly insults anyone with a different opinion. I honestly don't give a shit about what you think about the MonsterVerse (I've made that clear multiple times), my problem is that you're constantly treating others like shit for having a different opinions than yours. Everybody else may be fine with your attitude, but I'm not going to just sit here and let myself or others be insulted and bossed around by some grouch...
Ok, firstly let's stop arguing. But wouldn't you agree that maybe we should get a fresh start with a diverse team of avid Japanese and American creators working together to make something new?
SasquaDash,
Does that go for your comments about Singular Point as well or do we cherry pick? Weird how I can ignore those, but you can't seem to let go of these.
Recommendation: Stop being hyper sensitive to a set of dull films I haven't even bothered to comment on for weeks. Try it out. I believe in you.
We get it. You don't like the MonsterVerse. At this point your insults towards the series are getting really repetitive, childish and, honestly, kind of pathetic...
SasquaDash,
*checks notes*
Really.
I guess that's kind of my problem with Singular Point, the fact that you need to know a lot about advanced physics to understand what's happening. I feel like you shouldn't need to do a bunch of research to understand a show about giant monsters. Having a story based around scientific concepts isn't necessarily a bad thing (the original Jurassic Park novel is a good example of a science based story done right), but the general audience still needs to be able to understand it. I feel like Singular Point went WAY to far with that idea, to the point were a good chunk of it felt like a bunch of overly confusing, boring lectures, which unfortunately took away from the enjoyment and made it feel like a jumbled mess...
It would be interesting to see the two crossover. It would be pretty cool to see different versions of Godzilla meeting each other.
"If there's a God, it won't."
Really?...

If there's a God, it won't.
Frankly, I'm skeptical about this supposed "World of Godzilla" happening to begin with. While Toho keeps things pretty close to the vest, the last word about this idea wasn't even an official announcement. It was merely Keiji Ota musing on ideas he called a, "potential strategy" (emphasis on "potential") all the way in 2018. A lot happens in three years.
I have no doubt a new chapter of the franchise is on the way, but I'm not convinced it's another Toho shared universe. (Which they've already done anyway.)
i really like to watch Godzilla movie vidmate download
i like to watch Godzilla movie, i love it
I personally want a connection that's very loosely based so the stories can be more original in my opinion...
Well King Kong was the more popular monster at the time, and it would’ve been really bold and controversial for Toho to say, “OUR MONSTER IS BETTER”
But I’m on their side
Frankly it depends on whether a person knows anything about law of conservation of energy.
Most of the physics is literally, 4d objects interact with time. Post ep 8 there aren’t much lectures to be had.
