One major qualm I never brought up about the movie is how it completely throws away all the interesting stuff of what MONARCH believed the Titans truly were.  Not that I don't dislike dumb fun and carnage, but they should've handled the continuity better.

I think you are confused. Apex didn't get the head from the head ghidorah after godzilla killed him. The got the head in the ocean which godzilla tore off, and ghidorah regenerated a new one. In the KoTM post creodt scene we see alan jonah buy that head.

Youtube sub-leased the streaming rights of those movies from Criterion. Notice they're all the films that Criterion has released or got the rights from Toho for. (Minus War of the Gargantuas, which is not included in that playlist, for some reason, and King Kong vs. Godzilla which is chained up by Universal in perpetuity.)

I honestly like most of the plot in Kotm and semi plot in GvK but they feel like middle drafts

I prefer Ford for the Brodys, and Madison for the Russells.  I've said it before, Sam could very well be Madison's age.  And I'd like to see them come together from their shared experiences.  Also, I have solved the human character problem of the MonsterVerse.  It's that they need to get the writers of Pacific Rim instead.  Since that movie has actually endearing characters, like Raleigh, Mako, and Stacker.

Well, I've only seen King Kong Vs. Godzilla (1962).

I'm planning on watching Godzilla '54, and one from every other era.  Recommendations?

technically the Velociraptors in Jurassic Park are Dienonychus and not Velociraptors. The Dr. Grant was digging up its skeleton in Montana where Dienonychus fossils are found rather than Mongolia/China were velociraptor fossils are found.

Utahraptors were discovered later during filming yes but had the opposite problem of the velociraptor, they were too big. The dakotaraptor is more portionalized to the movie raptors than either Dienonychus and Utahraptor

Do you mean Godzilla x MechaGodzilla (not Tokyo SOS) and Godzilla x Megaguirus? Because a common complaint about the synopsis back in 2002 was how similar it was to Megaguirus. No one seemed to care once they actually saw the movie though. Lots of western fans have and continue to take to it.

I'm going with Katsura Mafune. Not exactly a traditional "pilot", but she's easily the most interesting character of those who "control" MechaGodzilla. I like the idea of Akane a lot, and to be fair she serviced a fun movie, but she didn't quite hit the mark for me.

ah like a consequence of bad parenting, I neither liked Mark nor Emma; Madison was okay. In all honesty I preferred the Brodys over the Russels.

well for one thing it would have made a darker tone and given more realistic consequences of MarK and Emmas choices. Both pushing Madison away. Two it would have made Emma more interesting and given her way more of a reason to feel bad. 

The whole family thing in kotm very focused on the parents, and it would have set up a more interesting story for GvK if they bith had to come to terms that what they did killed theyre last child. 

Or maybe not even killed would be right either. Madison could have just been seriously hurt or put in a coma and it would have the same effect. Or it could drive her away from both parents.

Its just that in GvK there was not family trouble that much, which should have carried over. Admittedly it was tried but they took way too much focus from the people who could have been really compelling main characters.

Also what the actual heck HinikunaGoji??? But it honestly may have been better if every major character died in KOTM, so we didn't have the Russells at all in GVK.
