Okay one more multiposting, not trying to get on anyone's case just want to convey my thoughts on it all.
I forgot to mention AVPR like AVP didn't expand on the xenomorph instead just reused from the expanded universe as I mentioned the Predalien before, the sequel gave us a Predalien Praetorian. So basically it combined two expanded universe castes together but it did add that praetorians can inject xenomorph larvae directly into a host.
So I don't think its that the xenomorphs are overused, I think its more that the xenomorphs haven't quite evolved beyond establishing hives. If they were zerg, the xenomorph hives seen on Lv-426, Auriga, and Antarctica would have been a starter Hatchery Level Hive cluster. I think they should introduce more stronger variants of xenomorphs
I think execution was the problem with AVP and Resurrection, not that they were overused they weren't creative with the xenomorphs like the first three movies were.
The only thing Resurrection added was the Hybrid and the Cloned Xenomorphs but still the cloned xenomorphs used the usually familiar caste of xenomorphs, Ovomorphs, facehuggers, chestbursters, Drones/Warriors and a Queen.
AVP added no new xenomorph type and technically the Predalien existed in the expanded universe a good decade before the AVP movie.
Contrast with the original Alien which introduced the Ovomorph, facehugger, chestburster and Drone cast for the first time in 1979 and then in 2003 reintroduced the egg morphing ability.
Aliens introduced the Warrior variants to the Drone caste and the Xenomorph Queen to the big screen back in 1986.
Alien 3 introduced the xenomorph's DNA reflex back in 1993 with the introduction of the Runner.
When we add in the Alien prequels, Prometheus expanded upon the xenomorph's creators and gave us the protomorph (Deacon)
Alien Covenant gave us the Neomorphs and the Praetomorph (David's xenomorphs)
Part of the backlash against the recent Jurassic World Dominion was a lack of threatening dinosaur presence since genetically modified bugs took center stage and the Giganotosaurus was just there for a few scenes but not enough to have a proper build up to make the Giganotosaurus iconic in the way the first movie made the raptors Iconic or the third movie made the Spinosaurus iconic.
Then its not ALIEN, it would be like watching a Godzilla movie without Godzilla

“The threat should be the xenomorphs, nothing else.”
You can have more than that, expand it. Star Wars can, Star Trek has different things, and so on. Star Wars fans seem OK with new things, at least many of them. Why not try new things in the alien-verse? Having the Xeno every-time makes it old.
The company was a threat because they sent them into that situation (Alien), Burke was a company guy in Aliens and you saw how much he cared (or didn't) about humans in that movie. Ripley's speech in alien 3 fits perfectly into that. My point is that the threat of the company was there from day one. The monsters just try to survive against the humans that try to use them. Alien movies seem to be more about human greed than anything, at least the first three.
I think that you can have both the company and the monsters as enemies, you just got to have good writing with human characters and the monsters. About enemies, the Engineer works in Prometheus, and that was new. They could expand on them in some way, so the Xenos don't need to be there always. We already see what happens when it gets over-used like in the AVP's and Resurrection.
To the people who voted Bistahieversor. It's up against a bit smaller Torvosaurus.
There are some people here that don't like tyrannosauroids, I'm NOT one of them since I am a tyrannosauroid fan through and through
Oh yeah the Moros
The people who voted Wiehenvenator, YOU VOTED A MEGALOSAUR TO WIN AGAISNT A TYRANNOSAUR.
Where is Moros??
Glad to know this project is keeping us update with news. It's been 5 years since last Alien movie so hope this tv show will make the Alien saga alive again.
Can we just take the drama out of this?
This has just turned onto degrading of each others character.
I'm fine with the Amalgam Testing being canon but too say that it was lore back even in JP III, yet reject everything from the newer canons is an odd thought process.
Jurassic Park III had a lot of plot threads left open for future Jurassic Park movies to fill in which I think is one of the other reasons why people didn't like it, don't bite my head off for saying this.
the amalgam testing was added in by Fallen Kingdom to explain some of these open plot threads. Jurassic Park III was building up to an unmade Jurassic Park IV which originally was scheduled to be released in 2005.
"Nascar stop being shallow man, you can't judge people on the quality of their fanfictions or what we discussed in confidence."
I never said your fanfiction is bad, you just handled one of the characters and made the character a stereotype
"
Also the good human characters in the Jurassic World trilogy are treated like super heroes given that the newer movies shifted from fighting dinosaurs to fighting humans with agendas" They were in Jurassic World when that SUPERHERO BOOM HAPPENED LATER. Since Owen is treated like a badass many times yet y'all dismiss that. No one cared about marvel until later dudes.
And also instead of talking about the MCU reason you brought up stuff that does not matter in this TOPIC. Like complaining about the degrading of movies. Same when i talked about the amalgam testing you kept on bringing the fact that it came later WHICH DOES NOT MATTER.
To add further confusion to Godzilla 1998, the creature designer gave "him" female genitalia
this is from what MDK had posted
Another common source of confusion regarding Godzilla's gender comes from the 1998 American Godzilla film directed by Roland Emmerich, which featured an incarnation of Godzilla that lays eggs asexually. Even despite this ability, this version of Godzilla is explicitly referred to as a male in dialogue, with Nick Tatopoulos even calling it "a very unusual he" after discovering its ability to reproduce asexually. The film's official novelization even refers to Godzilla as the "father" of his asexually-produced offspring.
Godzilla King of the Monsters 2019, so yeah Legendary Godzilla is totally a male. But other Godzillas could be female like Zilla.
Ah, the 90's back during the Jurassic Park trend
Yeah, I actually think that the first act of 1998 is pretty good for the most part. They do a great job building up his appearance. The scenes where he attacks the fishing boats, the scene where the military find the footprints and the scene where he first shows up in New York are really well done and make him come off as really threatening and destructive. It actually feels somewhat similar to the original 1954 Godzilla, and I think if they had kept that tone through out the entire movie, it could've worked really well. The movie starts to fall apart after he's fully revealed and you realize that he isn't really the true Godzilla, along with the military causing more destruction than the actual monster and the movie trying too hard to be like Jurassic Park and Aliens.
Nascar stop being shallow man, you can't judge people on the quality of their fanfictions or what we discussed in confidence. That's disrespectful and rude.
But even though Jurassic World beat Avengers: Age of Ultron. Jurassic World (2015) still felt like a Jurassic Park movie even though it reused a lot of iconic moments from the franchise's past.
What I am talking about is the current state of the franchise from Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom to now is heavily influenced by the MCU because on average since the mid 2010's a MCU movie or Non-MCU Live Action Disney movie tend to always snag the #1 spot at the box office.
We can see the changes in how Jurassic Park movies are made. The story shifted from Man vs Nature to Man and Nature vs Man.
In essence it when from being about Humans trying to survive against a threatening dangerous prehistoric organisms with the rogue human element only being a catalyst. Like Nedry, a disgruntled InGen employee in charge of all of the computer security systems, he was overworked by Hammond; he was in alot of debt and needed financial help. This is why he betrayed Hammond to Biosyn but he wasn't the star villain of the movie, that belong to the predatory dinosaurs. Specifically the Big One, the velociraptor's alpha. A hero killer.
The Lost World's antagonistic human element was Peter Ludlow, he wasn't a villain perse since he had every legal right to Isla Sorna and its dinosaurs since they were their property. It was the heroes that were on the opposite side of the law here. The only character that is somewhat villain-like was Deter Stark but he was a minor character. Also going back to Ludlow, he never tried to kill the main characters nor hold ill will to them. The main threatening force in The Lost World was the Rex family and the velociraptors
Jurassic Park III, the last true Jurassic Park movie or rather done in the familiar Jurassic Park style. The human antagonist element like previous movies were pivotal but they weren't the main threatening force. Billy steals the raptor eggs for to sell them to help fund His and Grant's dig site. This lead to the velociraptors hunting the human protagonists through out the film, along with the spinosaurus.
Jurassic World changed this. Hoskins is the main driving force for the plot, he wanted weaponized dinosaurs and he wanted to see if raptors can be weaponized through being tamed.
Fallen Kingdom, Mills was just evil for sake of being a corrupt corporate executive and was the first human antagonist to kill another human being.
Dominion, Dodgson another run of the mill human corporate villain that wants to see our non-corporate heroes dead.
Also the good human characters in the Jurassic World trilogy are treated like super heroes given that the newer movies shifted from fighting dinosaurs to fighting humans with agendas

This "i hate media" thing comes from my private chats with him, even in his fanfic he decides to clown on the character who actually uses social media and instead of making it a real character he makes the character addicted to social media. "What does the box office have to do with general trends in film making?" Box office usually shows how many people actual watch it. There ain't no money coming if no one is watching it.
"Plus isnt it really clear that the MCU has actually has influenced movies recently." It really can't do the same for Jurassic World, it really tries to be re-use ideas that were good in the past, it's not inspired by anything.
That is a very fair point and I would agree. I definitely do think that they tried to keep the radiation theme. But after the beginning of the movie it falls apart.
Idk where you getting this at all from. Xenotaris Never stated a "I hate media" viewpoint at all and just stated an idea.
Plus isnt it really clear that the MCU has actually has influenced movies recently. A lost of franchises are trying to be Cinematic universes. Even the Dark Universe tried being a thing.
What does the box office have to do with general trends in film making? Just because a different thing beat SOME mcu films (which by the way usually drown out competition) doesnt mean the MCU has not influenced many films this decade.
Xenotaris
Then your beliefs are not backed up by anything. Jurassic World outcompeted their arch nemesis AVENGERS once out of three times and the other times THEY WERE REALLY CLOSE. So i suggest you search up deeper than making up stuff from your "I hate media" view of the world.
Ash, Burke, and Michael Bishop worked because they were just a brief obstacle rather than the threat itself. The threat should be the xenomorphs, nothing else.
I hope they don't focus too heavily on the human side of things, I still want my xenomorphs to be an ever present threat and not side lined by a human-like villain.
and in some renditions were either called Hish-Qu-ten or Hish. In more recent EU stuff, the Hish became the Yaut'ja's ancestors
They are aliens, valled Yaut-ja
I have a question, are predators a human but born to kill with skill, or are they different species of aliens?
Stop it! He's already dead!

In all seriousness though, you do make some good points about the differences between 1998 and the Reiwa series.
The only thing I would slightly disagree with, is the statement of Zilla not being a symbol for the danger of radiation. I would argue that he could be seen as one, since he was mutated by nuclear testing.
Interestingly, they actually expand on the cook saying "Gojira" and the mythology of it in the 1998 novelization.
Also, here's the link to the topic where I compared MonsterVerse Ghidorah to the devil:
I'm interested in the corporate side of it, hopefully there will be somewhere where I can watch it.
Good, I don't see any reason to have Ripley in everything connected to Alien. To me she died in Alien 3 and that's it. Expand the franchise and bring in new things, we don't need Riley in everything. Make new characters, and get a writer that knows how to do that and that understands their importance to the story. Unfortunately they didn't work in the prequels, but trying something new isn't bad in itself. Time to move on
EPISODE 23: A RUDE AWAKENING
The Monolophosauruses could hear the distant roars of an ankylosaurus followed by some human howling along with troodons snarling. The two monolophosauruses decided to sit this one out remembering the last time they went to that place but also not many local carnivorous dinosaurs would want to take on a troodon pack and live to regret it. The noises died down for a while. The Monolophosauruses continued down the forest path, they eventually reached the Isla Matancero docks, two large spinosauruses arose from the water dragging a dolphin on to the shore.
The dolphin was brutally gutted as the spinosauruses made short work of the aquatic mammal. The slightly larger spinosaurus growls at the slightly shorter one. Outside of a slight height difference, the two spinosauruses were identical in appearance; they were twins. The slightly taller one began licking his brother’s face, it was bleeding from a fight he had sustained from a fight from a larger predator.
Yasmina notices the lights are beginning to flicker, “I am going to go check up on our fuel supplies,” with which she leaves Brooklynn’s room as she heads down to the basement. She sees Ben feeding Bumpy some grapes downstairs.
“Ben, I need your help” Yasmina walked past him, “Help me get this fuel to the generators, please” she gestures to the last gasoline container.
Ben helps Yasmina to refuel the Generators in the basement of the penthouse. “That's the last of it, we have at least a day of power left,” Yasmina explains to Ben.
“Can’t we just borrow the gas from the other places?” Ben asked.
“The problem is Ben, we already did that. I have marked off all of the places that we have visited. Except for one,” Yasmina stares at the map of Isla Matanceros. She encircled a facility at the far side of the island. “This is the Isla Matanceros Observation Complex. Sammy and I scouted the outskirts last month. It’s roughly a two day journey on foot and about half a day in a Jeep. Unfortunately, the place is crawling with Raptors and…”
Kenji was outside staring at the troodons roosting on the depowered electric fence. The troodons bobbed their heads in a very bird-like manner. Occasionally a few troodons would break the silence with a sharp raspy chirp or hiss.
Arthur was monitoring the fire barriers, its flame was growing weaker. The troodons slowly began approaching the penthouse. Kenji runs to the other side of the penthouse roof. “Arthur, get back inside, now!” Kenji ordered,
Arthur quickly bolted to the door, he quickly pushed a large dresser in front of it before heading off to the roof. The fire barrier’s flames finally die off one by one. The troodons growl in unison as they charge towards the penthouse entrances. They stop momentarily to scout the yard surrounding the penthouse. The troodons stare up at the humans on the roof, they sniff the air, the stench of humans weighs heavily in the air. The troodons jaws salviatae, the various troodon packs begin nipping at their rivals before the leading troodons hiss to keep their members in line.
Betsy and Sammy were still looking after Brooklynn. The growls of the troodons made the girls uneasy and on edge. The penthouse is secured, there is no way they could get inside even with that window that got destroyed… unless Troodons were good climbers, the Betsy thought.
A pack of troodons spotted the shattered window, two stories up. The troodons began climbing onto the wall where the giganotosaurus had left gashes. The troodons chirp in anticipation as they slowly approach the shattered window.
Unfortunately for the troodons, their reputation as the most dangerous dangers on Isla Matanceros was geared only to medium sized theropods and smaller. The ground shook. Rain started to pick up out of nowhere. A large sail breaks from the tree line past the depowered electric fences. Then another sail following the first one. It was the two spinosauruses, the same ones that sank their boat. Gar and False Gar, Kenji had named them in honor of Darius nicknaming the dinosaurs they encountered.
Gar was the biggest of the brothers while False Gar had a fresh scar on the side of his face. Gar roared angrily at the troodons before charging in to devour the smaller theropods; like fish in a barrel. The troodons toxic bites were inconsequential to the much larger spinosauruses. False Gar probed his snout into the damaged window seal, snatching away the troodons that were escaping into the penthouse. The fleeing troodons managed to unhinge the door in their desperate bid for survival. Allowing them to gain access to the rest of the penthouse. False Gar dugs his snout deeper into the room before retracting his snout, he roared as he began to claw away at the floor.
Kenji and Arthur were shooting at the spinosauruses with their tranquilizer pistols but the darts either bounced off or the darts tranq dosage was insufficient. Gar roared at the roofers. “Let’s go, Arthur” Kenji ordered Arthur towards the roof hatch. The two boys quickly charged down a flight of stairs before reaching the floor where Betsy, Brooklynn, and Sammy were at. The sounds of Troodons filled the hallway.
Betsy and Sammy could faintly hear the troodons just beyond their door. Betsy races to shut the door closed. The troodons leap at the door, a loud thud could be heard from the outside. Betsy and Sammy use their bodies to keep the door from budging further. Kenji fires a clip of tranquilizer darts into the troodon. It flops on the ground drugged out of its gourd. The other two troodons turn their attention back on the boys. Arthur throws a smoke bomb at the two troodons, smoke fills the air as the troodons race down the stairs to escape the smoke. The smoke sweeps through into the girl’s room.
Betsy and Sammy quickly rush over to Brooklynn to escape the smoke. Arthur opens the door letting all of the smoke into the room, “Come lets go!” Arthur shouts. The roof cracked as the floor shook and walls buckled and vibrated violently as the spinosauruses were ripping out chunks of the penthouse. Betsy and Sammy help lift up Brooklynn as the campers make their way to the basement. Brooklynn slowly gained consciousness, her feet were dragging on the floor. She spots two troodons scratching at the front entrance trying desperately to escape the building before blacking out again.
Brooklynn suddenly reawakens again. She was in the basement. Betsy was watching over her while Sammy was checking the girl’s bandages. Fortunately the basement was large enough for Bumpy to be with them. But it wasn’t safe for them to remain here. The ceiling shook violently as dust fell off the ceiling. “Kenji, there is a tunnel that leads out of here. I studied the blueprints thoroughly, it should take us directly to the IMOC,” Yasmina explains.
“IMOC?” Arthur asked, “What's an IMOC?”
“It's the Isla Matanceros Operations Complex” Kenji answered, “My father built it”
“Okay so let's go already,” Arthur insisted.
“Don’t have to ask me twice,” Ben said as he climbed onto Bumpy’s back.
“Fortunately these tunnels are huge…” Kenji replied, it just wasn't the same without Darius around.
The campers made their way into the service tunnels, it reminded the campers of the ones from Isla Nublar. They heard a loud crash as dust and debris filled the basement they once were in. The penthouse was destroyed.
Betsy remembered being one of these when she first arrived on this island. Other than the ominous dripping of leaked pipes, the campers footsteps and the haunting howling of air escaping, the tunnels were void of sound; eerily so.
After a two day journey through the tunnel encountering nothing but the occasional skeletal InGen worker remains, they began to encroach the water treatment plant underneath the IMOC.
The facility had large water tanks everywhere, some filled with clean water, dirty water, or various chemicals. Large machines churn and scream as they purify the artificial water reservoir. The campers slowly made their way topside. Kenji carefully opens the metal door leading to the outside. There was nothing outside other than the usual Costa Rican architectural buildings. Kenji took a step out, he gasped as he saw the sleeping form of a very large theropod dinosaur, it was the giganotosaurus. A pack of procompsognathus were pecking in between the massive dinosaur’s teeth; like a bird cleaning a crocodile’s teeth.
glad to have you back buddy
Aww, too bad. I thought one day, I could see a cute little size of Legendary Godzilla but of course make sense how it is impossible to appear.
