Although he previously let slip that he would be playing the Legends character Garris Shrike in the upcoming Han Solo movie, Woody Harrelson revealed on the The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon that he's actually playing a brand new character called Beckett (we don't yet know for certain how the character's name will be spelled).
Harrelson goes onto describe how his character acts as both “a criminal and a mentor to Han”. These traits seem somewhat reminiscent of Shrike, so it's possible that Beckett does indeed draw inspiration from the Legends character, even if they happen to have different names.
Directed by Phil Lord and Christopher Miller, the currently untitled Han Solo movie also stars Alden Ehrenreich, Emilia Clarke, Donald Glover and Thandie Newton, and will be released on May 25 2018.
