Following the release of Star Wars Episode VII: The Force Awakens four truly amazing prints were revealed to promote the movie's release in IMAX theaters. We ignorantly presumed that these amazing and iconic pieces of artwork were a one-time thing created specifically for the release of the movie, but when looking for images to include within a recent article I came across another piece of art depicted in the same style.
This imageĀ and a selection showcased below are pieces of art created by British artist Dan Mumford. His truly unique style is so unique it reminds me of the great Andy Warhol and the late yet magnificent H. R. Giger. Mumford's style could almost be considered as a comic book inspired merging of the two aforementioned artists style, with his bold use of colors and the painstakingly intricate attention to detail that one would imagine would take quite some time to complete each piece.
As well as lending his amazing style to pop culture icons, iconic movies and music artists Mumford has also produced seven glorious pieces titled 'Wonders', which are based on the seven wonders of the ancient world; we've included the one of the only surviving wonder, the Great Pyramid at Giza, below...
