Pacific Rim 2 is inching ever closer to fully founding out a complete cast with what seems like weekly casting reveals. The latest casting announcement so far has been made by Deadline, who revealed that Karan Brar will be joining the cast of Pacific Rim 2.
So far, nothing about his role is currently available at this time. Karan Brar's past film credits include the 'Diary of a Wimpy Kid' movies. Pacific Rim 2 will mark his first major big budget film production so far.
Cailee Spaeny will also star as a lead in an undisclosed role along with Levi Meaden. Other confirmed new cast members include Ivanna Sakhno and Adria Arjona. The age of all confirmed cast members so far does indicate a potential new class of recruits to pilot the Jaegers.
Pacific Rim 2 will take place after the events of the first film, with Star Wars' John Boyega starring as Stacker Pentecost's son. Charlie Hunnam and Rinko Kikuchi's return are yet to be announced. Plot-wise, it was mentioned early on that the sequel would explore more of the Kaiju's origins and of course, introduce us to new Jaegers and technology.
