As there's no main entry in the Assassin's Creed series being released this year, Watch Dogs 2 is pretty much Ubisoft's biggest game of 2016. It's available today and early reviews have called it an improvement over its predecessor, so this could also be one of Ubisoft's best titles of the year.
The French publisher are currently fighting off a hostile takeover from media conglomerate Vivendi, who now own a 22.8% controlling stake. It remains to be seen what they'll do with Ubisoft if they ultimately do manage to complete the takeover.
In any case, Watch Dogs 2 is set in a futuristic San Francisco and follows a new protagonist named Marcus Holloway, as he tries to prove his innocence after being framed by the government for a crime he didn't commit. It's out now on consoles and will hit PC on 29 November.
